Yes, it is a drug, but the word drug has a bad connotation. Coffee (caffeine) is also a drug, but people all over the world consume it daily, even youth. Opium and cocaine are also drugs, but they are not used as much as caffeine. We should research the health effects of the drugs (and food) we consume, and decide which are for us and which are not. The "drugs" in cannabis are called cannabinoids and they have a lot of medical benefits. A lot of pharmaceutical drugs are shown to be less effective and have more adverse side affects than cannabis/marijuana.
