Grow Room & Tents Update

A room filled with three grow tents... cannabis clones every where... starting a clone from the flowering stage. YUP! It's all here today in this DTube video.

All is going super well in the grow room... plants are thriving... clones are growing and I'm learning more and more about nutrients, how to FIM, manifold/mainline, lollipop and so much more about growing cannabis.

I currently have three tents in the grow room:

  • 1- 32x32x84 (tween clones)
  • 1- 32x32x78 (new clones and perpetual clones)
  • 1- 48x48x80 (flowering tent)

Did You Know...

YES! You Can Clone From A Flowering Plant

A few months ago I was watching some YT videos one rainy afternoon and came across a channel for cannabis and the guy was showing the progression of how he took a flowering plant, cloned it and over the course of about six weeks, how the plant reverted back to vegetation. Needless to say, I was intrigued

I watched the video at least a dozen times and thought... Hey, I should experiment with this... So I did

I am glad I watched the video and familiarized myself with process; and what to do and not to do.

Things I learned:

  • DO NOT remove the small popcorn buds from the plant- leave them on. This is where the new growth of the vegetative state plant starts to grow.
  • The leaves will not start to grow right away. It took mine a good four weeks to show growth from the bud area.
  • The leaves do NOT start out looking like cannabis leaves. It takes them a few weeks to develop.
  • Yes... this is a longer growing process. BUT, if you don't have a clone of a plant already and decide that when your plants are in the flowering that you'd like to have a clone, you can. Keep in mind... it does take a little extra TLC
  • I noticed root growth after about two weeks- just like any other normal clone.
  • You should clone from a flowering plant NO LATER than the fourth week of flowering. Just because you are stunting the growth of the plant and it hasn't started to be heavy into producing THC.

Yeah Ive seen a few people say you cannot clone from a flowering plant. It can be done and you have the proof. If you search monster cropping its exactly that, cloning from a flowering plant. From what I've gathered they end up growing a lot denser which may mean more yeild.

it's kind of funny; in a non-whimsical way, but a guy my husband works with is in denial that it can be done, or that I am doing it.
He's an 80's child and HUGE consumer... he thinks his way is the ONLY way... but then again.. he has lost more clones in the last two years than I currently have growing.
How many clones have I lost? One

Haha. Show him up and he is still in denial. Ill need some advice from you and Jon next time I clone. I havent had much success.

Interesting to know your points..thanks for sharing!

Your ladies are looking nice 😎 just out of curiosity what kind of lights are u using in each of ur rooms?

Let's see...

  • forthe Tween clone tent- it's a VIPARSPECTRA Reflector-Series 450W LED Grow Light Full Spectrum for Indoor Plants Veg and Flower
  • for the flowering tent it's the same above; just a higher wattage VIPARSPECTRA Reflector-Series 600W LED Grow Light Full Spectrum for Indoor Plants Veg and Flower
  • for the perpetual clones tent I have a Hydroplanet™ 150W Grow Light Fixture Kit (150W Grow Light Kit)- it's odd cause the little clones and perpetual clones DO WONDERFUL under this light. I can't figure out how or why. But once they get bigger and are moved to the 450-watt VIPARSPECTRA tent... they flourish under that one there too

Sounds like a nice little setup 😁
Clones and small veg do well under that 150 because they really don't need a lot of light when they are young because they are more focused on growing roots more so than the plant itself, plus veg plants use more of the blue spectrum light then the red spectrum so I am sure they thrive under that 150..
Once they start really taking off in veg the more red light generally works better to make them thicker and fatter vs the blue light which will make them stretch out and be more lengthy between nodes. So the way you are doing it is really working in ur favor.. 😎

howdy this fine Thursday goldendawne! wow what an operation girl! the records and keeping track of all those plants, amazing. and they all look like they're thriving..that AK 47 name cracks me up everytime! lol.

@goldendawne and her golden glow! I am impressed. You are learning and flourishing - at least your lovely plants are flourishing ;)

We love you Goldendawne!!

Awesome work @goldendawne! The best window (as far as I understand) for cloning a flowering plant is 10-20 days into flowering cycle, this is due to the auxins being sent to the new growth of each top. Lowest lateral branches can be tough, but I have found that cutting and taking them straight into complete darkness for 3-4 days then introducing them to mild light has a very high rate of success. I suppose since they make roots in darkness that this somehow encourages the plant to focus energy toward the root system, rather than making leaf (or flower).

Great work, as usual!! Loving this #canna-curate initiative, too!!
