WE are doing research on Lung Cancer. I and other 2 bioinformatician(scientists) to finish this deadly/fatal disease.Atleast we can save few.

Lung cancer is deadly disease say no to lung cancer lets finish it.

What is lung cancer?

Lung cancer like other cancer it is uncontrollable  and rapid growth of cells of lung .It forms tumor than malignant tumor eventually full cancer of lung.It can be in one lung or in both lungs. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related mortality, annually resulting in more than one million deaths worldwide. In the United States itself, there would have been 222,000 new cases of lung cancer diagnosed in 2010, with about 157,000 deaths.

There are different types of lung cancer, mainly  NSCLC(non small cell lung cancer).

and we are working on adenocarcinoma the most common cause in all lung cancer patients.  adenocarcinoma is the most prevalent  in smokers and nonsmokers.

Symptoms of lung cancer.

•  Sever chest pain or just pain while you are breathing fast or laughing and coughing.
• Decrease in appetite.
• Shortness of breath.
• strange sound while you speak.
• Infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia that don’t go away or keep coming back.
• Chronic cough.

Genes mainly Involving In Lung Cancer.

K-Ras, EGFR, B-RAF, MEK, HER, MET, ALK, KIF5B-RET.

 we are focusing on few to get more knowledge about them. 

e.g : Pathways Involved in lung cancer.

For example: EGFR (Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor) as these are growth factor receptors they are present on cell membrane those get activated by special factors known as EGF(epidermal growth factor). Than they trigger series of reactions and process inside cell which eventually lead to cell proliferation (formation of new cell) those are uncontrollable in their growth.

Afterwards there become a cluster of undifferentiated cell those release different substance those break open different way for them to blood stream and become malignant tumor. Eventually it cause death of person.

Scientists questions:

Scientists are working now Insilico.

• finding out what are main causes of cancer using biological data and taking help from computer.
• finding are genetic factor causing all alone these.
• changes in DNA did these so what kind of changes.
• point mutations,deletions,insertions,substitustions and lot other.
• is single gene enough and and two contribute to worse.
• there are tons of these questions, what scientists were asking now they are being answered and we are getting closer to our goal.

Goal:

Our goal is to find a way to stop this from killing more peoples.

find a compound that can help us resist.

make a compound that can help us resist against this.

making drugs that can help.

SUFFERING OF LUNG CANCER

Working:

We have been working for quite a time now. We gathered information and analyzed it by looking at how things work ,how mutations work, how they cause cancer, what proteins  are involved those aren't identified and how can we help.after much we are now working hard to find answers.
