B&W Photo Contest Entry #2
While I generally avoid churches (people seem to think my presence increases the likelihood of a lightning strike/fire) I made an exception to that while in Grand Teton National Park. The Chapel of the Transfiguration was built there in 1925 and with the Tetons for a backdrop is a rather picturesque place (here is as view of that backdrop out the chapel's picture window). This photo is of the handmade aspen pews in the chapel, lit by the light of the setting sun.

Ha, I was there and wandered around outside, but for whatever reason I didn't go in! Nice to see the inside!
I almost didn't myself but wound up being quite glad I did. Did you make it to Mormon Row when you were there?
No. Share pictures, please! We had spent the night in Jacksonsin Hole, but intended to reach Cook City the next night and got distracted by the Tetons. Imagine that! Yellowstone was so ridiculously crowded that we were thrilled to get up into the Beartooths and Sunlight Basin.
I wish I had some to share but I ran out of time as well and never made it there either (I was hoping you had). When I went on up into Yellowstone the crowds weren't an issue but the haze from all the wildfires made for less than ideal conditions for photography.
Oh I see, if it's not your local it doesn't matter lol. 😉
