Digging my summer archives.
A few macro shots I've captured at the lawn near the Auchan mall, St.Petersburg, Russia. We dont have Machaons and Monarch butterflies here...
I love the sight of this little black buggie in the right side of the pic. Probably he could tell us a story!
I've stumbled upon a pack of asphodels that time, brought back a solid folder of nice captures. Pretty much all the same, tho. Intense direct contrast sunlight provided this quality.

Great macros ^^ I really like bees and once I got a proper camera I would like to go to hunt them too ;) .. no monarch butterflies over there ? .. @annephilbrick would be sad, hehe .. have a great start into the week @qwerrie !!

after 3 days of nonstop rain (which ruined all my photo-plans for weekend) we have sun here again, right from the morning. and the 1st snow dropped at night, which already have melted... and dropped, lowered the temperature more
The first snow ^^ .. that should actually open a brand new book full of alternative photography options !! .. but it would have been a short autumn for you if the snow would just stay now

именно, этот стахановец за 10 сек перелетел с 2х цветков на третий. я щелкал не думая, в надежде хоть 1 да полчится. та ки вышло. ни о каком брекетинге и монтаже кадра из нескольких, с плавным перемещением по стекла по рейлу, не может идти и речи.. во всяком случае, в моих ручных условиях :/ не горжусь этими кадрами потому ни столечки. просто нащелканное, ноль усилий приложено.
есть мнение, что кадр без дальнейшей обработки и монтажа более ценен. Так что, может и гордиться))
Я иногда врубаю серийную съёмку, тут ведь ещё и без штатива, а не шевелиться самому в таких позах сложно)))
смотря чего это кадр, уважаемый. и смотря какая обработка. некоторые из моих карточек,-- унылое г, пока им цифропроявку не зафигачишь.
а под монтажом ты подразумеваешь подрезку, или нечто иное?
под монтажём типа хдр-ов всяких, я это всё не умею и особого смысла не нахожу.
Обработка да, почти всегда нужна. Это как проявка негатива. особенно, если снимаешь в сыром РАВе. Я чаще всего входным качеством не заморачиваюсь. Что-то происходит на автомате, но главное не слишком засветить или затемнить, чтобы цифровую инфу не потерять. На настройку чаще всего нет времени. Это же не студийная съёмка. Всё по живому)) Тут главное успеть поймать то, с чем потом можно работать. У меня как-то так получается.
я понял твой подход.
ну хдр помоему то же самое, что и рав-обработка, кино из той же серии. берется один рав, и из него вилка - три экспозиции - а из них стряпается хдр... но я этим не занимаюсь, поэтому более точно не скажу.
я входной композицией больше заморачиваюсь, а качество - особенно если на мануале снимаю - получается уж как получится, потому и доводка, с деталями, да. примерно как у тебя подход получается, наверное.
хдр точно не моя тема. Во всяком случае пока. Некоторые пейзажи одним кадром может и не вытянешь. Но у меня в камеру зашита съёмка трёх с разной экспозицией. А если один троить и потом сшивать/накладывать...может всё равно инфы не хватить, той, что изначально потеряна.
ещё бы! зачем тебе хдр, если твоя камера его сама готовит
я хдр ни разу не баловался. миня и так прёт, безо всякого хдр-компота

mmm, @papilloncharity posted a few species of bees that you have, that look unusual to me, I figure out they arent visiting Europe. i am sure, you have a lot of ... well, maybe it can differen from one to another location. but generally speaking, the nature of North is very mean and so far from so diversity.
We get the huge smooth black carpenter bees and lots of tiny types but not furries. It's also true that insects are larger and more diverse in the tropical zones
ah. ok, if you wanna see some divercity and enjoy the 'furry sight', you know, drop me a shout ... around next summer :P
