Although, I score myself around 2/10 when it comes to my socializing on facebook, there are things we should still take note of. And one of them is security.
As we all know facebook is one of the oldest social media applications. It is no news that the rate at which accounts are being hacked is alarming. The easiest way by which account is being hacked is when the owner carelessly log in through another device without logging out or giving out your phone to unfaithful friends called TRAITORS.
Below are the 9 steps to staying safe and secured as found on facebook website, (without pictorial representation)
- Choose friends to contact if you ever needed help getting into your Facebook account.
- To choose friends to contact, if you get locked out, go to MORE
- then settings
- security and login
- Identify 3 to 5 friends to contact if you get lock out.
- Select friends to get started
- Pick 3 to 5 friends, that you can easily get in touch with by phone
- Each of the friends will be given a special piece of a security code. Each friend will have to be contacted to get individual fees before recovering the account.
- The code can then be used to log back into the account.
