I got busy on gameguru last year but i crashed out around december, mentally, and i really havent done much since, steemit seems to have revived some interest in a little scripting but at a snailpace and i only function well at night ...
I remember trying some of this when i just got on and i got WRECKED by nazicleaners and their team of enlightened content fascists with no own talent because it was "not steemit" content , so let's try again, its time-saving week i want my distroscipts to be ready so i can get back to the fun-stuff

like this a.o.

parts 7-8 ... i had them all separate (lucky you i dont or i could have four timesaving weeks and maybe get it all up and running)

well, by then all roads were painted as texture on the terrain and the sidewalk sections roughly in place ... very roughly speaking, put up some props to see how it all renders and get a feeling of height (relative to player/p.o.v.) and the the terrain, its a hillside here so it needed molding

my first idea was to look for topographic data, ask someone for it, then convert it with some script into a heightmap (the maps are made up of 4 numbers per point (xyz-coords + height) and it gets meshed into this rounded type terrain so that would have been too hard if i had a square sheet of numbers

found a site , i think a screen in the beginning shows it, but they never replied so i had to improvise ... took some rough measure of houses and hills here, then stacked a wallsection on top of eachother until i had approx height of the top and went from there :) placeholder for houses are on the appropriate spots and there's two characters with a base a.i. script (a.i. is a big word for this, its basically zombie routine and shoot, but theres different ones who hide behind obstacles and stuff, or will defend a spot or walk around a path etc.)

its actually two sections, the top section (i suppose this was all trees) got levelled and the mid section too, there's four types of houses so i need models for all those (still optimistic on the polygon count at that moment hahah) Put the sections up for height reference and starts shovelling :p

select all objects at once and lift them so they dont get stuck in the terrain or automatically move upward with it ( a physics/collision setting)

then zoom out and use the largest available brush to outline the height roughly (very roughly, sad those people wont send me the data)

(no, poincgames is clearly not microsoft free but i think thats the only thing windows is useful for : directx, otherwise its a total waste to install on a production-pc) i had to remove all audio because youble claimed copyright crud b/c of some music playing in the background so my nice voice explaination is gone, i hope to get back to stuff like this, especially the rpg on maker after i get the rest here up and running, but first things first and then the rest

WOW ... one person metions i'm in the top 100 most active commenters and the next day i have no comments ... /ponder ... i see conspiracies everywhere lately but it wouldnt be below the competitive psychopath ofcourse ... :D , i still have to see the post that says so and i frankly dont really care what top 100 i'm in since i clearly dont get paid more for that
