POEM: ANATOMY OF A QUESTION
Your talk of thighs
gentle jumps to conclusions
And your barren eyes
wincing at verbal illusions
Your tell-tale hands
move wands casting spells of demise
Your honest feet
progress and retreat to rest from motion
I barely knew you
behind the shell
that no one gave the time
to part
And surprisingly
your words of suffering
seem to have a place
that parts my peace
I accept the rejection
you feel
when no one hears
your answers
And as the snow
is filed like books
in a natural library
lets go out and take a look
