Frontend Test- Busy(Review)

in #busy5 years ago

Sorry that this is late, been busy as hell and am working on another project and I improperly allocated my time last night. But I made sure to complete it as soon as I could.

Unique Features

There really aren't that many unique features on Busy compared to other frontends. They do some things better than other, but are really nice to look at.

The Good

Rather than signing in with your posting key, you use steemconnect to sign in. That means that the site never gets your private key, so yay security(though I'm using steempeak with keychain right now and I have to say, this is better).

Like steemit.com, they don't take a beneficary % so you get to keep the entire part of your earnings. If you have enough SP following you(meaning the SP in the accounts of your followers) you can be eligible to get an upvote for when you post on busy and use the tag busy so that free money.

They do have a wallet that you can use and you can sign all transactions on steemconnect.

You can also check out all the people who voted for a post as well as the value of it by clicking on the thumbs up button, a quite useful feature.

Busy looks nice. It's not bland like steemit.com

Anyone can get the voteslider by going to the settings and enabling it. The settings screen also lets you pick out more settings like more profile data and even lets you leave a signature on your posts so you don't have to copy paste it every time.

The Bad

There really isn't much bad about busy. It used to be my favorite front end to use(looks like it might be steempeak from now on though).

The biggest omission is the ability to vote for witnesses. Witness voting is a critical part of STEEM and without that, so much can be lost.

Busy also lags at time. If I try and open a post with a lot of comments, like steemit, it can take a while to load(which in steempeak it doesn't). Theres also been posts that have disappeared from my history right in front of my eyes, as if time was traveling backwards. I don't know what was going on, but I think it's been solved and don't wanna see that ever again.

Overall

Busy is a great frontend to use as a new user. Its clean and friendly. It's defiantly one of my top recommendations. There really isn't much to say about busy. Its a good frontend thats widely used and is very very inviting.

So, what's the best frontend of those you have tested?

I'm going to have to say steempeak so far. It's been the best.

Congratulations!
