A Gorgeous Sunny Lunch at "The Island" / 惬意的阳光午餐

Today was a sunny day, therefore my colleague and I decided to get out of the office and have a nice pub lunch while also enjoying a bit of sun. We went to “The Island” which is our local gastro pub with a restaurant area on the 2nd floor.

The Island open from late morning to late evening every day and it’s my favourite meeting point to go with friends for drinks. I love the charming and relaxed atmosphere there as well as the friendly service from staff members.

It was quiet at lunch time as most of their custom is later on in the day. Although this was exactly what we wanted and had such a pleasant time sitting in the outdoor area, soaking up the sun. Our lunch was served to our table quickly and the food was great, as always!

I opted for the Smoked Chicken Sandwich while my colleague had the Home-made Chicken Burger. A simple dish yet with fresh and good-quality ingredients, it’s was so tasty. One of the best chicken sandwiches I had for a long time.

What an excellent choice for lunch on such a gorgeous sunny day! I feel so lucky to have The Island so near to my doorstep.

今天天气特别好，阳光灿烂，我和同事决定到附近享受一顿酒吧午餐，顺便晒晒太阳！我们去了一家名为“The Island” 的酒吧餐馆。

这家店白天和晚上大部分时间都开放。室内环境优雅舒适，加上员工非常友善的服务，这也是我很喜欢与朋友聚会喝酒的地方。

在平常工作日的午餐时间，酒吧人不多。我和同事坐在户外一边闲聊一边享受着暖暖的阳光，十分惬意! 我们的午餐不一会儿就送到了。同事点了鸡肉汉堡和薯条，而我要了一份烟熏鸡肉三文治。虽然是简单的菜肴，但食材非常新鲜，烟熏培根也做得酥脆美味，好好吃！

在户外享受阳光午餐真好，我也非常庆幸有这么棒的酒吧餐厅 在我们家附近，呵呵。
