A Steem Streak Broken

I have been bothered for almost 24 hours now to the fact that I did not post any content yesterday on Steem. While the blockchain will still give me credit for a post because of my daily @actifit activity report last night, I came to realize as I was posting to @actifit that I had not made a post. It was a very busy day as I spent my morning traveling back home just to be wrapped up in meeting all afternoon and early evening. By the time it was all done, I needed to get a workout in and spend time with the family which at least demonstrates that my priorities continue to be aligned.

However, I know that this would not have happened if my motivation was where it once was. I tend to be a person of extremes as either I am "all in" and committed or not engage at all. My thousands of comments and posts as the tens of thousands of upvotes are proof of my commitment to the ecosystem over the last two years but it has gotten difficult to keep it front and center with many things I am positioning myself with these days. My concern is that these shifts in prioritization do not impact my efforts at my long term approach for Steem. It continues to be a great opportunity to accumulate for the future and I do not want to miss a minute of it!

This continues to lead me down the path of reflecting how I want to continually engage with the community and add value to the ecosystem. Where I seem to be landing is what originally brought me here which was to be an investor first. Given the way we are given flexibility with our stakes on the protocol, I believe in leveraging the potential of our positions to add value to the community and the ecosystem in general. However, it seems that the velocity of new projects have also started to slow down which make opportunities be more difficult to find.

While I envision continuing my journey in creating content and engaging with the community, I would like to take an additional step forward as an investor. This requires a better stake which I am considering to build in the coming months as the opportunity arises given the price of Steem. I also think that supporting and backing content creators or projects like Tribes that engage and entangle community will be a key foundation for the long term value of the blockchain. Therefore, I want to seek better ways to leverage my stake to add value via those channels. Whether it be with curation efforts and upvote or additional delegations of Steem Power, I think that my focus will shift in the coming weeks.

This will probably take resources like time in the short term in order to shift the approach but I think that is part of making our journey here more enjoyable. Experiences add and create value even if it may be intangible so that is where some time will need to be spent in the coming days and weeks. I will be watching to see what other ideas are being developed for the benefits of our community to improve visibility and support. In the meantime, I will continue to make my best efforts to be present and share my journey here!
