Wednesday Walk: Hunting for a new lamp, ไปหาซื้อโคมไฟใหม่ที่โฮมโปร

This is my entry for #wednesdaywalk created by @tattoodjay. You have no idea how difficult it is to find a nice and practical lamp with proper working shade in Bangkok. Several years ago, we had so many choices and designs of lamps and lamp shades from England and Europe. Now there are mostly cheap Chinese plastic and metallic lamps in mega big stores. There is only one choice or one place for me to shop for a new lamp: a big shop called HomePro in Sukhumvit Road.

HomePro is on Wave Place building close by skytrain station: Ploenchit. This store sells all the essential things to do with running a home. But it has a very small collection of furniture, the best place to buy furniture is IKEA which is quite far away, on the perimeter of Bangkok. This store has four floors, each floor is about half the size of a basketball court. So, it is quite overwhelming to see a whole floor of electrical appliances such as washing machines, refrigerators, vacuum cleaners, air-conditioners and so on.

I got off the skytrain at Ploenchit and walked along the walkway for three minutes to reach HomePro. This area is full of office blocks, high rise buildings and skyscrapers. This area of Ploenchit is where the most expensive condominiums can be found; the American, British and Japanese embassies are within walking distance from HomePro. So, there are foreigners of all nationalities shopping for kitchen appliances and household goods for their new condos in this area.

อาทิตย์นี้เราไปเดินหาโคมไฟสำหรับตั้งที่มุมห้องนั่งเล่น เราชอบโคมไฟแบบโบราณที่มีหมวกทำด้วยผ้า ซึ่งเป็นอะไรที่หายากมากในปัจจุบัน ตามห้างทั่วไปเราจะเห็นแต่โคมไฟที่ทำในจีน มักจะเป็นเหล็กเคลือบสี หรือพลาสติกหลากสี ถ้าเป็นสมัยก่อนที่ของจีนจะระบาดไปทั่ว เราจะเห็นโคมไฟสวยๆ ราคาไม่แพงจากอังกฤษและยุโรปมากมายให้เลือกซื้อ เดี๋ยวนี้เราแทบจะไม่มีทางเลือก ต้องไปหาซื้อเท่าที่เขามีขายในห้างใหญ่เท่านั้น เราก็ขึ้นรถไฟฟ้าไปลงที่สถานีเพลินจิต แล้วเดินอีกไม่ถึงห้านาที ก็ถึงห้างโฮมโปร

เราชอบแถวเพลินจิตเพราะดูสะอาดตา มีต้นไม้เยอะ และมีตึกระฟ้ารูปร่างสวยๆให้ดู แถวนี้เป็นแหล่งที่มีคอนโดราคาแพงที่สุดในกรุงเทพฯ และมีสถานฑูตสำคัญๆ เช่น สถานฑูตอังกฤษ สหรัฐอเมริกา และญี่ปุ่น อยู่ไม่ไกลจากที่นี่ เราสามารถเดินไปได้ประมาณสิบนาที เวลาไปซื้อของที่โฮมโปร เราจะเห็นชาวต่างชาติ มาเดินซื้อของใช้สำหรับคอนโดหรือบ้านใหม่กัน. แต่ที่นี่มีแผนกขายเครื่องเรือน หรือเฟอร์นิเจอร์ที่เล็กมาก ถ้าต้องการซื้อเฟอร์นิเจอร์ก็ต้องไปที่ อิเกียซึ่งอยู่นอกกรุงเทพฯแถวบางนาโน่น ที่ห้างนี้มีสี่ชั้น แต่ละชั้นกว้างเท่าสนามเล่นบาสเกตบอล เวลาเดินดูสินค้าก็ตาลาย เพราะมีแต่เครื่องใช้ไฟฟ้าทุกชนิดเรียงรายเป็นแถวยาว ทั้งตู้เย็น เครื่องซักผ้า เครื่องปรับอากาศ พัดลม เครื่องดูดฝุ่น และอื่นๆ อีกมากมาย

My trip to HomePro was very nice though I did not get a new lamp. All the old style lamps were made in China but you could not use the normal light bulbs as they would get too hot. I do not want to use lamps with LED bulbs as these are very bad for your eyes. I think there is a real push to make people get sick and reduce life span in order to reduce world population; looking at 5G and its effect on brain cells and tissue cells.

เราไม่ได้ซื้อโคมไฟใหม่ เพราะว่าโคมทั้งหมด มาจากจีน และเขาไม่แนะนำให้ใช้กับหลอดไฟธรรมดา จะทำให้ร้อนเกินไป เราไม่อยากใช้หลอดไฟแอลอีดี เพราะมันทำลายประสาทตาของคนอย่างน่ากลัว เราคิดว่ามีกระบวนการทำให้ร่างกายมนุษย์เสื่อมโทรมและ บั่นทอนอายุขัยของคน ทำให้คนอายุสั้นลงเรื่อยๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นอาหาร ยา นํ้าและอากาศนั้น เต็มไปด้วยสารพิษ และโลหะหนัก ยิ่งความพยายามให้คนใช้5G ก็จะยิ่งทำให้คนตายเร็วขี้น. เราได้หาข้อมูลผลกระทบที่มีต่อสมอง และร่างกายแล้ว น่ากลัวมากๆ แต่คนส่วนใหญ่ไม่หาความจริงกัน อุตสาหกรรมพวกนี้ จะทำเงินให้ฝั่งนายทุนมหาศาล มากกว่ายาปราบศัตรูพืชที่ทำให้คนใช้และคนกินอาหารเป็นมะเร็งเสียอีก
