His Pleasure

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. — Philippians 2:13 (KJV).

Brethren, as children of the Most High God we are continually the workings of God. God is still working in us even when we don't feel His presence. At times, we may wonder where is God, especially in confusing situations. But the events of life cannot stop the Almighty from His work in our lives. Hallelujah! Every little happenings in our destiny, no matter how insignificant in appearance is part of God's work in us.

The works of God in our lives leads to the fulfillment of His will. Thus, we don't need to understand the details of why we experience what we experience as long as we are the children of God. It's time to trust God's will and rest in His loving hands as He takes us through life into the perfect day. Don't struggle with God's will through unbelief, murmurings, rebellion or sin. Don't be anxious for anything, for all things shall come at the best time. Be hardworking and committed, but don't try to be God. Commit your efforts into God's hands and see Him work things out for you.

The will and the doing of God is directed to His pleasure. If an imperfect earthly father will derive pleasure in his children's success, how much more the Almighty, perfect and loving heavenly Father. God smiles when we succeed and He orchestrate everything to make sure we are favored. The will of God for us is perfect, we can trust Him with our lives. In everything, know that it's God. It's God that is in charge even when it seems the enemy is at work. God is working, even though nothing seems to be working in our lives. God is working, even though it seems everyone is against us. God is working,even though we failed or succeeded. Brethren, it's God at work. You don't need to feel Him or understand what is going on. Be assured that in everything, whether beautiful or ugly, God is at work.

If you are not a child of God through salvation in Christ, you need to come to Jesus today. Surrender totally and make Him your Lord and savior forever.

Abba Father, thank you for your workings in our lives over the years. Please open our eyes to see more of your work in us and help us to trust you,no matter the storms of life, in Jesus's name. Amen. God is at work!
