Freewrite Day 684 Awful Boss

I have had 100’s of jobs in my lifetime and can’t remember any awful bosses in that time. Everything is short term for me and if I didn’t like a boss, I would have left and moved on. I think 99.99999% of people are good, and if they are not, there is some reason for it. I give everyone a lot of leeway and chances, and don’t think about their failings much.

If I got a prompt to talk about good bosses, I could write 20 books at least. Those are the ones I remember.

I saw a movie where a famous person was murdered by a mentally ill man. At the end of the movie the murderer died in prison and people were happy.

The daughter of the murdered man was interviewed. She said with tears in her eyes:

It was terrible when the murderer died. When my dad was killed, we had to rent a stadium, and everyone mourned. When the murderer died, everyone celebrated. How sad that he had no one. No one in his whole life since childhood had ever loved him. I feel so bad for him, and sad for the rest of us.

That would have been me.

Whenever something happened, and someone treated me or my son badly, I would always say, “You do not know what this person is going through. Maybe they have difficulties that make them like this.”

My son must have said 100 times, “You always make excuses for people. Why don’t you get mad?”

I have no time for that. I am moving on instead.
