This is a bullshit straw man argument looking for nothing but attention. Why can’t we have mass adoption and quality? How bout this? Steem isn’t successful because it lacks quality. People looking for a quick buck who come and go. People buying votes and their shit content earning more than those who put in hard graft.

The tokenomics of steem have put it in a tough position to start compared with other social media sites. They were created for people to increase sociability outside of real life, no monetary incentive drove adoption. Therefore we should not compare apples and oranges.

Sure dapps may reign supreme in the future. But if we want this version of steem to succeed due to network effect, low quality will not do it.
