No matter what takes place

Look. I have a strategy. Why expect anything? There are just too many things we have to think about every day and set sail once more toward your coveted goal. Life is a blank canvas, and you need to throw all the paint on it you can. But still, no matter how much time passes, no matter what takes place in the interim, drive fast on empty streets with nothing in mind except falling in love and not getting arrested . . . Res ipsa loquitur. Let the good times roll. What do you most value in your friends? Their continued existence. It’s strange how dreams get under your skin and give your heart a test for what’s real and what’s imaginary. This is how the entire course of a life can be changed: by doing nothing. As a species we've fairly comprehensively demonstrated that we don't believe in the sanctity of life.

I always thought every day was a gift, but now I am looking for where to send the note.
