I think those that are here on steemit for the fun of being here and do our thing regardless of prices will do well in the long run when the price recovers even if the steem price bottoms in the same low as last year...As long as they don't cash out and power up everything, weeds out those who were just here for the money. Bad for investors but also a buying opportunity. Steemit is still young after all.
Hard to say, there could still be price swings and recoveries, but I've stated in the past that based on my own understanding of prices, what led to the current market, and what might unfold in the future that something just above its previous lows of single digit cents is possible, but I don't have a window into the future.
Yes, if someone believes in the platform doing well and the prices do recover then investing at lower prices would make sense. Nothing is guaranteed, but knowing that I will still be purchasing more steem at lower prices.

All my SBD is converting into Steem. At least I didn't do it all at once, there's some time for some of the conversions to get a lower feed price.
(Also I bought most of the SBD between .86 and .99, so it's not like selling it back at .76 is a hardship really.)
