A man in India with a saffron cloth on his body and wooden slippers, runs a billion dollar empire. He is none other than Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev.

Baba Ramdev rekindled yoga in the 90's and was popular in the entire nation. He always emphasised on MNC's selling poisonous chemical products in India that harm the body. Morning 5 am sessions of yoga were followed by his views on the food products available in the market.He did this for 10 years and during that time he was not selling anything in the market. So his motives were not considered as selfish and his views were widely accepted. Patanjali Ayurved is a Indian FMCG company that is now a tough competitor to MNC's like Nestle, HUL and several others. The company sales have grown over 60 times in a period of 6-7 years and have become a subject of study for management students.

1.Baba strikes while the iron is hot- A perfect example is Nestle Maggi crisis. Ramdev launched his Patanjali branded noodles at the same time when FSSAI banned maggi noodles in India.
