Ghosting in Your Business

What if you were to stand back from the day-to-day running of your business? To step back and allow the systems and your team to run your business - without you.

You would instead be like a ghost. Disappearing into the ether and reappearing occasionally to periodically check up on how things are going (or to put out some fires!).

How would your business cope? Would it start to crumble after a matter of days (or hours...!)? Or would it be resilient and maybe even improve without you there as the team pull together to make it run even more smoothly.

'Ghosting' is a good way to approach it. Just to drift away a little more and to see what happens. To observe where the cracks and problems might be. Then to nip back in and fix that problem with a new system or SOP. Then step back again. Rinse and repeat.

For many business owners this approach might be the best way as they might otherwise find it too hard to let go of the reins. They are constantly in the driving-seat. Never allowing the business to drive forward without them.

Try 'ghosting' in your business and see how you get on. Little by little, you should be able to improve and tweak your systems to allow you more time and freedom. Until you can one day step away altogether into the ether...
