Email Chains are Dead!

One of the biggest issues we face when dealing with any project is the number of emails, texts, phone calls and the general back and forth involved with all this. If you are a follower of my blogs you will be aware that I am in the process of moving my business forwards, (Onwards and Upwards!)

It is not the case of just taking on new people, of which we are in the process of doing, but also making the existing model much more efficient, I have to admit that I am still a little old school and I do like to pick up the phone and talk to people, however when you are dealing with multiple projects this can get really confusing. So to enable a more efficient and effective way of handling our business we are now using Slack which is a type of message system, where we can set up dedicated channels for business projects, as well as keep everyone up to speed on what is happening. What is really cool is we have plugged in Asana to this, a task management suite, allowing us to create jobs, assign to people and put deadlines and levels of importance on them.

Moving forward (onwards and upwards) we will soon have a system in place where we can handle everything that comes our way, and whether we have 3 people or 30 people, a working model that when everyone is on-board, can get things done, working smarter, not harder. Delivering a better service for our customers and clients as well as paying more wages out for more people.
