You don’t have to become a news hound, just set up a Google Alert and use a tool like Hastagify to keep up with the general conversation on Facebook. If nothing else, this is a great way to keep adding content to your channels without having to get uber-creative daily.
As a side note, remember to understand your channels. They are not all built the same, and you need to post content that appeals to the people who use those channels. SnapChat, for example, has 300m young users and shouldn’t be used – so understand how to leverage it and go for it. Today’s young people are tomorrow’s adults!
Whatever you’re posting and wherever your posting, one of the key rules along with providing value is to be authentic and true to who you are as a brand. Brands are consistent, and people don’t like fakers, or inconsistent brands. For most cases, being “you” but a modulated public persona works best.
