Japanese Buildings and Architecture part 3

in #building5 years ago

While the beautiful buildings stand tall, Japan retains much of its identity in the way traditional shops and restaurants are presented in the country. Traditional architecture is what many tourists find astounding about Japan. From its historic castles to its small eateries that are neatly tucked away. Perhaps one of my favourite examples of Japanese architecture lies in the wooden structure that re still present today. Various tea houses and eateries featured eye catching wooden designs.

The staple roof design with check patterned cladding was a beautiful contrast to a lot of the city walks I had been doing over the last few weeks. The characters outside a building are often telling of what kind of business is carried at the premises. The varnished finish is indeed beautiful among the different trees that are dotted around.
