Without a doubt, life in this modern age could be baffling, nerve-racking, and oppressive. On the other hand, those living in the developed world have a greater advantage in terms of material wealth and liberality than most other people on the planet, living now or at a later time in history. The truth is, we as humans have a longer life expectancy than the previous generations, ranging from; great access to material resources, freedom, opportunities, and prospects. In a nutshell, modern life grants every one of us with an unprecedented possibility to live in the way we desire.

In an attempt to overcome the pressure and impediments of life, we need to develop the habit of doing things our self, hence - DIY. Most of the time, we repeatedly lose focus and the zeal to do basic things our self. We ignorantly say "I don't have time for that", "I'll just get someone to fix that" and we just go with the wave because we feel it's safe. There is absolutely nothing wrong with getting a mechanic to fix your power supply switch, or a personal driver to take your kids to school. None of these are ideally bad, they just rob us of the joy and self-pleasure of using our hands and ideology to create and fix something.

The majority of us might be pondering on why DIY? How relevant it is in this modern age. Doing things yourself ignites a feel-good-record in us, it could also be seen as the value you create by spending some time to do things all by yourself.

Unfortunately, this age is filled with computers and smartphones savvy. It's quite safe to say we can go our entire adult lives without creating anything productive or inventive. This age is so hasty and automated, many people have never done their laundry themselves, or at least cook for themselves. With all this uncertainty, you can see an explicit need for DIY crafts in our society.
