The funicular in Budapest

The funicular in Budapest is one of the most famous sights and activities in Budapest, even though it is incredibly expensive and the ride isn't much of an experience. Still, it is famous because of its age. It has connected the Danube and the Castle hill since 1870 and it is a total 95 meters long.

The funicular was hit by a bomb in 1944, and it took more than 40 years before they repaired the damages and made the funicular available for use again.
