China's largest financial news provider adds support for cryptocurrency indexes.

One of the largest financial news providers in China, Sina Finance, has added Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to its application, the local 8btc portal writes.

Sina Finance has over 10 million monthly users. On July 3, it implemented the ability to track prices of 36 cryptocurrencies, including BTC, BCH, ETH, LTC and XRP. In addition to index information, users can view candlelight charts and news from the blockchain industry.

As noted by 8btc, the decision to add new functionality could be dictated by the desire of service owners to attract potential users among Chinese crypto-investors. According to available data, the applications related to cryptocurrencies had over 7.5 million users at the end of 2018.

Against the background of low-performance indicators of the Chinese stock market in recent years, more and more traders in traditional markets are beginning to pay attention to the cryptocurrency assets. Thus many of them do not hurry to download specialised appendices.

Last May, Tonghuashun, a popular stock market trading application, added a cryptocurrency tracker to the iOS version, but had to remove it after 2 weeks of regulatory pressure.
