What is ETF:

Its called Exchange Trading Fund. In simple way I can tell you suppose you are a normal people. You can buy sell crypto and hold. No one will tell you why you did this. Because its your money. However for Institution its not like that. Company's CEO have to give report to govt authorities. He can't buy btc easily as he has to justify why he has bought it. If he does wrong company just fire him from his post. So If ETF approved they can invest easily.

Will we really need?

I think no. Because ETF is for USA. Crypto is not limited to USA and BTC is global currency. Without ETF we went to 20k and saw huge green candles on every coins. What I think is that we need to increase the use of crypto in our daily life. That will increase the demand. People will understand why they need to buy BTC as they see its necessary for making life easier. Country and Banks should not impose bad regulations. of course we need rules but don't like rules that say your bank account will be closed.
