Brosino – Another Withdrawal
Ha, went “lucky”, got a streak and was able to request another withdrawal of 50k credits. So another 5 Steem for this account.
Gambling, probability and the expected value. It’s basically a really fun mathematical and statistic lesson. At least if you are in for the money and less for the fun. (But what is more fun than earning money?)
For instance the new raffle:
Thanks to the payout of the pot after a 5% cut, every ticket you purchase has an expected value of 95 credits. It doesn’t matter how many tickets are already sold, it will always be that amount per ticket.
For that reason and for the reason of automation, I’m still recommending dice. It’s faster and has a better expected value of 97 per 100 credits.
( I really hope that they don’t lower the expected value of the dice game down to 95.)
I also wish/hope that this whole system would be sustainable on one way or another. But I highly doubt that. Giving out 5k Credits daily, gives us daily the chance to hit that 50k. I’m already, after only 1 week, at my second withdrawal and I think that the chance to hit that 50k with dice is around 8%. Per day. Overall the amount of credits lost will be higher than the credits won, but they are free, so no loss there.
I guess they will have to raise that withdrawal amount to something higher, to reduce our probability to reach that mark based on the law of large numbers. With every game played we are getting closer to that expected value per bet/throw/card etc. so we are getting close to loose everything than to reach the threshold.
Also they might reducing the credits to steem ratio to keep that system afloat.
I really like the free credits reload and the possibility to play games on an automatic base, so I hope they will keep those features, while optimizing the profitability on some other ends (with keeping our wins, I guess I would even gamble to get a little bit of credits or a SBI share with way more than 50k credits.)
Also a system to reward us credits with something like upvotes would be nice. That would even help the sustainability.
At least it's fun and something like those other dice/casino games on the blockchain. "Gambling" without the risk of loosing hard earned money is already a big win!
