CRYPTO-PALOOZA...

Only this was no old, rehashed rags to riches story —* No, this was a Rags to DIGITAL Riches Journey...* And along with all the typical fancy new toys, over priced dinners, high-end penthouses, etc., etc.., the best thing we learned to do with all this new found wealth was — SHARE IT!

Unlike most of the super wealthy, whether old or new money.., instead of hoarding it — keeping it all for ourselves, we just knew instinctually, the only way to go, was to spread it around...

Sure there were some rich folk out there that gave away millions of dollars that genuinely did some good.., but they always had some ulterior motive — from tax breaks and all that fake altruism, that made them "look like" such good people.

But what makes this story, not only different, but truly amazing is — nobody knew who it was that was spreading around all this wealth. Just like the attraction of anonymity related to cryptocurrencies — the money (digital money) was able to be spread around like never before seen or heard of, huge amounts of money, that it took on a world of its own -- and just kept growing!

The world on whole had become a not so pleasant of a place for the majority of the people that inhabited it.., only a very small percent of its population got to actually enjoy life, like it was meant to be lived -- and something needed to change… If not the darkness we had all mistaken as some kind of success would swallow us whole.

It is said, that it was one man -- although nobody knew for sure, it very easily could have been one woman, too.., that started this digital currency revolution… Only this kind of revolution did not require the use of any form of violence, which many believe is exactly why it succeeded. You see, the powers that be could not comprehend a "revolution" that did not depend on violence -- they couldn't understand that the world had buried enough young souls, already -- that people were not disposable. They just wanted, what everybody else wanted -- to live, to be happy, to be free.., REALLY FREE!

THE SCENE

Imagine if you will.., a full blown, all-out Broadway Musical… As the lights slowly rise on lone youngish female, dressed in kind of a peasant way.., the scene behind and all around her -- a dark and dreary world… And as the lights reveal her presence and her dark mood, she begins to sing to the audience and beyond… As the song progresses, the set design, the scene surrounding her, starts to change as her mood begins to lighten and fill with hope. The dark and dreary starts to be replaced by this bright light that has begun to shine over this new world.

The source of this light is coming from lights on computer screens, displaying crytpo-currency trading charts -- transactions being made in a split second, flashing out into the audience. What were once ghettos, slowly start to transform into places of true beauty, the dying and neglected nature around it flourishes with new life. And our lone peasant girl, transforms right before everyones eyes into the beautiful being she was always meant to be...

THE WHOLE TIME SHE HAS BEEN SINGING --

How can it be
we all thought we were free
illusions so strong.., they don't let us see
we were never, never ever
truly never.., really free…

The things that we thought
taught to believe
enslaved us to dreams unfulfilled
bound us to things.., none of us need
dressing it all in a bow

Perceptions defined
by the size of your wealth
only meant to disguise and deceive
have tainted this world
and all that we ever did perceive…

Enslaved by consumptions
they force us to see
replacing our desire to achieve
we were never, never ever
truly never.., really free…

Flawed liberties won
met with false promises
created the scene of this crime
as a coldness
crept into out hearts

Pretending to be
what we wanted to see
in lieu of the way it should be
robbing our souls
of the love endowed to us all

But to all our surprise
the confusion in our mind
gave in to a new way to be..,
a few taps on a screen
has changed how we normally see

Enabling us all
to live in the light --
sing, dance and be free
and we owe it, yes we owe it
all to -- CRYPTO-CURRENCY!!!

(and then in a hush, a sweet whisper…)

See, we were never, never ever
truly never.., before now -- really free…

Even though I live in the heart of the theater district in NYC.., home and birthplace of the greatest musicals ever performed -- the most brilliant theaters this country has to offer, I was never really a fan of the Broadway Musical…

Even though I was the best man at a wedding that involved some of the biggest names on Broadway (can you say Liza Minnelli and Chita Rivera), I never got into it… I always appreciated the grandeur of a huge star-studded musical.., the talent and hard work it took to achieve that level of brilliance… And I sure as hell never thought I would write a post about -- The First Ever Cryptocurrency Musical…

But I guess, what they say is true -- never, say never!

So when you read this (read it over if you have too), you have to picture the majesty of a full-blown Broadway Musical -- all of it… The orchestra pit, the chorus singing the hook, the magnificent choreography being pulled off by the best dancers on the planet -- and the voice of an angel belting out the lyrics that touch your soul, her voice is so sweet.

NOW READ IT AGAIN!

P.S.,
Now even though Im not a true fan of the Broadway Musical.., it does not mean I have not seen my fair of them -- I mean, they all happen every night (except Monday) within blocks of where I live, it would have been almost impossible not to see a few (or way more than a few). So who knows.., maybe one day we will actually see an actual Cryptocurrency Musical -- I'll tell ya, the time is ripe for it, right now!

If there are any aspiring singers or musicians that read this, I'd love to hear those "lyrics" put to music and sung, like they should be...

P.S.S..,
I have never written a song before.., and maybe I still haven't -- but I know there is at least the beginnings of one, in those lyrics.., and who knows, maybe a whole damn Broadway Musical. Cheers!
