Are you a 'Hate Agent'? - Facebook Might Think So!

A document has been leaked exclusively to Breitbart News entitled "Hate Agent Policy Review", the document is used by Facebook to determine whether someone should be categorised as a 'Hate Agent'.

How this is determined is through various on and off platform activity of individual users. This could be who you have appeared with in public, authors of articles you've shared or simply statements you've made.

Some of the things that will place you into this category are if you appear to advocate for a 'Hateful Ideology', be associated with a 'Designated Hate Entity' (the document uses Tommy Robinson as an example), or even if you have tattoo's of what they consider to be 'Hate Symbols or Slogans'.

Hate speech will be categorized by the platform in the following way:

Individual has made public statements, or statements made in private and later made public, using Tier 1, 2, or 3 hate speech or slurs:

3 instances in one statement or appearance = signal
5 instances in multiple statements or appearances over one month = signal

While we at OYE NEWS do not advocate for hate speech or support entities which preach hateful ideologies, we do advocate for free speech. Unless someone is calling for the violence and abuse of another we see no valid reason to shut down the speech of an individual.

Who determines what is hateful and what is not?

This is less about Facebook taking the moral high ground and more about ensuring the narrative is controlled in a way which suits the interests of Facebook and the State.
