Ridiculously Good Chocolate Chip Pancakes

These are amazingly good death by chocolate pancakes. Your kids will go bananas when you make this for them! Hey everyone it's james from fun foods and today I will show you how to make this death by chocolate chocolate pancakes so keep watching and I'll show you step-by-step how to make this the first thing we're gonna do is start with our dry ingredients and i have here one cup of flour I have a half a cup of cocoa 2 teaspoons of baking power 1 teaspoon of baking soda just a half a teaspoon of salt and 3 tablespoons of sugar just want to whisk this up really good get all those ingredients mixed together just set this aside and we'll work on our wet ingredients now for our wet ingredients we're going to start with 1 cup of milk two tablespoons of melted butter 1 large egg and a teaspoon of vanilla extract and just whisk this up really good get all those ingredients together now that that's whisked up really good were just gonna to take our dry ingredients here and we're just going to slowly add this in whisking as we go into our dry ingredients so if you find that is getting a little too thick to mix like this one is you want to add a little bit more milk so now we're going to add some chocolate chips to this and i have put about three fourths of a cup worth of big chocolate chips and here and I'm going to put about a fourth of a cup of these are dark mini chocolate chips and I'm gonna dump those in and this is when you don't want to use your whisk because it would be really hard to mix these through just mix them in and that's your pancake batter now we're just going to turn on our burner and get these things cooked ok when your griddle is nice and hot you want to take some butter just to kind of butter surface a bit stick it on there Now you just want to take a good helping of your pancake batter and smack it right in the middle there now that they're starting to bubble over a little bit in the center and the edges are nice and brown we're going to flip these over that wasn't good now hopefully i can flip this one over better than I did that one be careful people yes success so the first I took about three minutes we're going to cook it for another minute on this side and then i'm going to put them on a plate and I'll show you what to do with the syrup so now they're cooked i'm just going to take them and put them on a plate here just to double check pretty good so take it put it on a plate I'm even gonna put this on the plate even though I really messed that one up when I spun it when I flipped it ok so while your pancakes are cooking what you want to do is start on the syrup and what I've done is take one cup of heavy cream now put it in the microwave to heat it on high for about 60 seconds you want to get a nice and hot now just add a half a cup of dark chocolate chips to it stick them in there just moving a little bit let them sit for a couple minutes so that they will start to melt on their own and then we will start up now that you let that sit for a bit we're going to just take a spoon and we're going to mix this up and i'll start off slow at first but just keep mixing and keep mixing and as the chocolate melts it will look better and better so after you mix it for quite some time you'll see you have this nice perfect chocolate syrup and now we're going to just sprinkle it all over our pancakes now we're going to take our chocolate syrup that we just made and we're going to pour over top of our pancakes and of course you can always top it with some whipped cream let's cut into these pancakes mmm look at the inside of those pancakes take a little bite of this mmm if you love chocolate you're gonna love this for breakfast what a way to start your day well thanks everyone for watching to see how to make this death by chocolate chocolate pancakes I hope you enjoyed this video and if you did please hit that like button also hit that big red subscribe button if you're not already subscribe to get new videos every week be sure to check out some of the videos i have off to the side I think you may enjoy those as well and check back later on this week i may have a special video coming up on wednesday or thursday and then of course next sunday as always the food video so I'll see you guys next Sunday
