What is a 'coin' worth? Currently most of the crypto world uses the US dollar as the benchmark for valuation.
Given the global currency status it currently has, this makes sense, at the moment.

But what if that changes, how do we value anything?

If oil is the basis of 'value' then the Petro seems to have a sound basis.
But what about countries that don't have oil deposits?

Surely the only reasonable basis for 'value' has to be gold, as it has been for thousands of years.
