I checked the living room digital thermometer……….
71°F……and 71 percent HUMIDITY!🥵
No wonder it feels so hot, I haven’t seen the humidity this high in a long time!😮
Silvertop was busy this morning Crypto trading……..
So I decided to get in my hike later in the late afternoon, hoping to miss the hottest part of the day!😇
Everyday at 6 AM Silvertop and Liz, are awaken by the sound of compression brakes, or as they are called by truckers “Jake Brakes” on logging trucks going down our road!😮
“Don’t these loggers ever sleep Liz?”🙄
I decided to hike up a forested side road that my neighbor Jerry lives on……..
Jerry, is a retired dairy farmer. He has turned the operation of his large dairy business over to his son. His very secluded home sits at the end of this side road, about two miles from our main road.
You can see what I discovered when I reached the intersection of my road and “Jerry’s” side road in the fourth photo……..
The forest was completely gone!😳
Jerry is quite a character, he has decorated his long driveway with numerous eclectic yard ornaments Lol!😇
Everything he had placed along the road, was covered in a thick layer of dust from the steady stream of logging trucks!😮
I followed one of the newly cut roads to the end. Several multi million dollar home sites with panoramic views on a clear day looking Northwest towards Canada and the Pacific Ocean!
Big changes coming to Silvertop’s sleepy dead end logging road…… I hope for the better!😇
