Long time, no see. How is everyone doing?

in #blog6 years ago

Good evening everyone. As some of you might have noticed, it's been a good while since the last time I wrote and published a post here on the Steem blockchain. In fact, it has been over three weeks since I last published a blog post here. I have been trying to read up on some of my favorite authors during this time though, but I haven't really been commenting as much as I wanted to either.

The reason for my inactivity from Steem pretty much boils down to two main factors;

  1. My "real" non-Steem life has been very busy lately, with a lot of changes, so it takes a lot of time and energy to adapt to that. This is not a bad thing in itself, but I do find myself to be more tired when I put my kid to sleep for the night, which would typically be when I would have time to write a post.
  2. I have been having a lot of problems with my motivation. I used to be able to enjoy writing daily, but I've been drawing blanks when trying to sit down for a session of writing in the past weeks. I guess I just needed a break, which is why I took one. It's a good thing I don't do this for a living, but can instead pick and choose when it suits me to "work".

Anyway, I feel like I'm beginning to get more used to my new life situation now, so it's time to get back to spending some more time on creating interesting content for you guys. I have seen that a few people have taken notice of my absence, which is always a nice gesture, so I'm looking forward to being more active and involved with Steem again. I feel a resurge in my creativity again, and made a nice list of cool things to write about in the coming weeks. So thanks for your patience, and I'm looking forward to interacting with everyone again!

Great and valuable content @valth.☺

Thanks :)

Welcome back buddy...
I really missed you and felt your absence here...Good to have you back with all your amazing blogs...

Thanks for the warm welcome! :)

Motivation for blogging can be difficult to muster. That's especially true when prices are down across the board in the crypto world. As for me, I doubt you even know who I am, but my restaurant life has been really busy and I haven't been able to write fiction as much..

I'm glad to see you back though. I hope a lot of different people that haven't been posting much come back and we can build this platform up so that is great like it was in January and February of this year.

Yeah, that's true. It's ironic that we often get demotivated when the prices are low, because this also means that we get more Steem per post (usually). Those of us who believe that Steem will rise in price again within the next years should instead be motivated to earn as much as possible now when the competition is low. But sometimes motivation and logic seem to counteract each other.

I hope for the same as you. There are a lot less people around here now compared to when the Steem prices were a lot higher. But I think we will get to that point soon enough :)

Good to have you back @valth :) I am sure I was not the only one who was missing your posts about the beautiful Norwegian nature and your lovely pets :) Looking forward to reading them again!

Thank you. It's good to hear that you are looking forward to reading my posts again; these types of comments really help with the motivation :)

Sounds like you need a vacation, or something to change the external stimuli to your life. I typically find I'm most energized to share things with people when I come back from experiences that are out of the norm and maybe that would give you back the motivation you are craving. Good luck my friend and welcome back!

Thanks. That sounds like great advise! I have some interesting plans in the coming months, so hopefully that will bring me some new experiences that could jump start some motivation and creativity.

Hi welcome back! It is good that you took some time for yourself. Forcing yourself to come up with new posts is never a good idea and I'm glad you are feeling the vibe again :D
Already looking forward to read your new posts!

Thanks. I think you are right; if we force ourself to write posts when we don't really want to, it will surely impact the overall quality of the post.

Welcome back, we all need a chance to recharge some time.

Now back to work!

Thank you!

Don't be gone for so long!

How are things?
How are your four-legged friends!
Are they older?
Enjoy your evening and new interesting experiences, @valth

I'm sorry. Things are actually pretty good despite being hectic. And the dogs are fine; Wilma is getting pretty big now. I hope to be able to get some good photos of her soon, but it's very difficult, since she moves all the time. How is it going with you, @singa?

I'm very happy for you. I'm fine! Thank you!

I'm glad to hear that!

Lovely to hear :) I assumed it's a summer hole and you're just enjoying a relaxing vacation :P

looking forward to your new posts.

Unfortunately my vacation ended a while ago :( And I'm glad to hear that you are looking forward to them; seeing people saying things like this definitely helps with my motivation.

You probably already have heard, but incase not: @dlike has another airdrop. Since I got my previous airdrop infos from you I thought you might me interested :P

Thanks for tell me. I have kind of had a look at it, but I haven't paid a lot of attention to it. I suppose I should spend some more time on it, because @dlike sounds like a nice project, so it could be very nice to get some free tokens before the real release.

Welcome back mate
I'm also having some problems with lack of motivation.

Thanks! And I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you can get more motivated soon as well :)
