LANTANA CAMARA
√ A flowering plant native to Central and South America which has been spread for over 50 countries worldwide.
√ It is considered an invasive species due to the versatility it has to develop in different environments and its propagation if not controlled.
√ The flowers can be of different colors such as white, yellow, red, orange, and pink. After pollination, it is believed that their colors change to send signals to pollinators.
USES
√ Ornamental Plant
√ Traditional Medicine
√ As a Host plant for butterflies and hummingbirds.
MEDICINAL USAGE
For medicinal uses, only the leaves of the plant should be used
√ In its oral use, prepared as common tea, it has tonic-digestive, tranquilizing and antispasmodic properties. Some authors have also described it as beneficial for treating fever and cough.

Quoting and translating from Spanish, González Torres in his catalog of medicinal plants points out that...
"Aromatic, tonic-digestive, antispasmodic plant. It is used in tea at 20-30 ml after meals." ~ DrYuyo
