Weekend Crypto Green.

What a weekend it has been and I suppose the big news that everyone already knows about is that Tesla will start accepting Bitcoin again. Not that they every really stopped, but at least they have it confirmed now.

Much ado about nothing, this whole Bitcoin and energy nonsense. If they were serious about reducing fossil fuels and greenhouse gases, I'd tackle the bigger items like motor vehicles, air travel, rural energy generation, meat consumption all ahead of Bitcoin mining.

But that's the media for you. They latch onto something and run it on the news cycle 24/7 for weeks on end until it becomes the truth. Because everyone quotes the same articles over and over again.

It is the same thing in academia. Lies or dubious research studies were shown to be quoted more often than legitimate ones. Why? One reason is that their outlandish claims attract more attention. Everyone knows the sun rises in the east and so that isn't exciting. Tell people that eating cereals for breakfast leads to obesity and.... bam!

Positive Cub Developments

My earlier post talked about the Cub airdrop on the Matic or Polygon chain. Looks like that's generating a fair bit of excitement and driving up the price close to 40% in the last couple of days. It is amazing what a bit of non-selling and a little buying can do in illiquid markets. This is like an education for me and I'm sure many people who don't see this sort of stuff in real life.

Weekend Plans

Not sure if i get to even post this as i'm heading out for a swim later. With Covid the way it is now, we need to book specific times for the pool and so mine's at 845-945 with the family and after that we head out for breakfast and lunch. It is goign to be a tiring day. If i'm lucky, i will have some time around 10 when I come back for a bit and post the submit button.

Having a buffer and scheduling option for Steemit would be nice. Not sure if there's a front end that can do that anymore.
