As I enter my fifth decade in life, I know I have learned a lot .
Knowing how little I know, being one of them!

But as I get older I see those younger than myself, and how little they know about life.
A sheltered life? An easy upbringing?
A educational system based on emotional legitimacy over logic.?
I don't really know.

I do know they feel entitled, and ooze with being a victim of something.
They seem preoccupied with blaming something else for their lot in life. Patriarchy, , imperialism, capitalism, socialism, sexism, racism.... blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

Children living in a an adult's body.
I am embarrassed for them, and their lack of emotional maturity.
They don't have a clue about life, as they try to tantrum their way through it!

By the time you reach the age of forty, here are some things you really ought to know .

And if you don't? Stop 'tantruming' and get learning!

1/ Authority is never your friend, no matter how they appear to you.
2/ Never invest energy gaining approval from your peers.
3/ Be confident in what you know, humble to learn what to what you don't know - and know the difference.
4/ Nice people and bad people are everywhere.
5/ Use your life skills to open your mind even further with each passing year. Close minded people are dying people.
6/ Expect no one to defend your position for you. You are a grown up, act like it.
7/ Traveling has nothing to with geography, miles, or countries.
8/ You can never celebrate life too much.
9/ Live by the values of 'do unto others as you would have done unto yourself '. You will never be happy otherwise.
10/ Avoid people like the plague if they don't live by rule 9 -They are societies vampires.

I see people the same age as me that are still angry at the world, still a victim. Still lonely.

If you still an angry teenager by the time you hit 30 - you haven't learnt too much in life...

The older you get the harder it is to learn the basics.

Don't get caught in the trap of anger and ego becoming your prison..

It's a very difficult one to climb out of it once you have fallen into it - and with each passing year the walls of the trap get higher, and higher.

The light that is life, becomes further away and is harder to reach...

The saddest thing is that we have all these kids pointing blame at this group and that, and none of them point a finger at the real culprit.

The govern-cement destroys everything it touches, but everyone still runs to the govern-cement for protection.

Its like there is two kids, Suzy and Bobby,
and the govern-cement comes up and baps the back of Suzy's head
and then says, "Bobby did it"... "because of toxic masculinity"

It is bad.

There is wisdom in your sharing. Seriously, @40, I have come to realized majority of what you shared here and more
