[Out of office] #4 Tesla Semi goes for record?

Few days ago You can see information that UPS join to the game. 125 trucks. This is quantity of UPS - packaging and delivery giant order. So they won with Pepsi (order for 100 trucks). I must remember. Tesla Semi is not still in production. Companies will get trucks at 2018 or 2019. Nobody even know about that yet. Tesla didn't relase official date.

At this moment we only see 3 stucks at official presentation and speed test... for me it isn't too much. I think range it isn't problem because Tesla has experience in this subject. Also my collegue which is writing more posts about Tesla ( @nicniezgrublem ) tells me that company predictions about range always are close to truth. But truck industry is another case. Also I didn't see any information about range in reference with weight of load.

Of course I am glad about success of Tesla Semi. It is looks like development and evolution of truck and transport industry but I can't unravel this. This orders are huge with huge money. So are they thinking only about marketing? These companies must know that Tesla is only manufacturer of passegner trucks. Not trucks. How can we predict of usage Tesla with 20 tones of load? It is not tested vehicle. What about truck solutions? MAN or Mercedes has lot of Experience. Tesla will start learn almost all themes.

Most wird thing for me that range will be not a problem. These companies know about predicitons about range. They will use this trucks at short routes.
Maybe this is marketing and creative way to support ecology with some pluses for company? Still they get some product. I am cirious about that in what way will go this evolution. One is sure. This boom was started by Tesla. Tesla is making history. Let me know what do you think about that in comment.
