The Idea Of Time?

It's said that the future is just one second away and the present only lasts for a second, meaning the past happens so fast. It all takes a second and it's gone. Think about it.

Everything we do is crazily dependent on time. We make plans, banking on time that's yet to come while we do nothing with the time we have on our hands. The saying "the best time to do it is now" is well known by so many but understood by a few. Many times when we hear these words, we're always in that state of ecstasy when the words of the motivational speaker must have elevated us to heights we have no control over and are susceptible to shallowly believing and repeating whatever they say.

Yesterday might have been the most awesome time to do that thing you had in mind to do but you know what the next awesome time to do it is? Today! Today, like right now and not tomorrow or 'some other time'. Each passing second is life giving you a new chance to get shit done.

The parts of the journey you remember are those parts where there were actions taken; just like you begin to doze off when the movie becomes slow. But what happens if there's one action followed by the other in a continuous chain? You try this, then do that and that leads to the next... isn't that some time well spent?

So basically there are two categories of people; those that do and those that don't.

This means time is never really the problem as many people claim. There's always time because life keeps refreshing our chances every second. It is what we do with the time that counts. It's funny how we spend time complaining of the unavailability of time. How ironic. I believe if you lived your life like this present moment (this one. Yes this one) is all you've got, you'll get more done.

What is your idea of time?
How much time do you think you've got to do stuff?

People always say, "live in the moment" and "don't dwindle on the past." But I do believe that if we only live in the present, we'll lose sight of our future. If we ignore the past, we won't be able to predict the future. I think all we need to know is that time is limited. It's extremely valuable. We either need to enjoy it while we have it or spend it wisely. Or else we'll regret it later.

But if you're trying to enjoy/make the most of the limited time, isn't that you living in the moment? Those that ask that we don't dwell on the past have their arguments as many people allow the past drag them from moving forward.

for me love your assertion that
"basically there are two categories of people; those that do and those that don't."
you are right... many prefer to relax as such time passes past them...i belief in the power of small things... start your day by making your bed... before you know it...you have changed the world...
thanks for sharing this...

Awesome! I love it!

Make Your Bed, Change The World!

you too much bros! thanks for this... and hoping you already like me changing the world by making your bed daily...

Well, after Einstein I avoid talking about time separately, but try to think about the entanglement space-time. Time and space come together, but our perception of the world that fools us to think they are two separate things.

The time like a sword; you manage the time or time will kill you. Great article @fisteganos. Thanks so much.

Hmm awesome! Thanks

I think time management is a wrong idea, but we can go even further asking ourselves if management itself is a good idea. In the end, we aren't the masters of the world, the world is given to us to serve it .

If all you're doing is making use of the time you have at the moment, is that time management?

It's about words of course. I agree that life keeps refreshing our chances every second. Just the words use and manage reflect only the side related to action. But there's is also other side – pure presence, joy, being which doesn't need any action because it's already there. I think there are several kinds of happiness, and the happiness to act isn't even the happiest one, despite the importance our culture attributes to it.

Hello @fisteganos

I believe that time is the one thing people talk about but rarely utilize well.

With all the hype about regulating the amount of hours you sleep and making out time to hustle, we still find ourselves wasting relatively the amount of time we are trying to carve out on irrelevant things.

Garyvee said it better

It is not about how long you sleep, it is what you do while you are awake.

@ogochukwu

Exactly. What do you do when you're awake! There were times in my life when I was getting out of bed by 9am and my folks were complaining but that was only happening because I was going to bed about 4am.

I don't think we should worry over the time we don't have at the moment.

Time is sword! If we do not use right, then we will be hurt / regret!

To me
Time is money
