War and Modernity (Rant)

I can never understand why we resort to primal instincts in settling cases of dispute, particularly for those who claim 'enlightenment'. There is a popular saying that' the days of conquest are long gone' but how relevant is that notion to what we have in reality today? What other motive does the aggressor possess to action if not domination? It does get a little more annoying when the same cynical rhetoric is echoed from hypocritical mouths.

A Question for Nations
Every year seemingly records increasing budgets for the armies of most nations who claim to do so in defense of sovereignty. Ironically, the richest, most peaceful nations top this list with their budgets well above those of conflict ridden nations. Why exactly does this happen? Is it a speculative measure as a sure fire counter to unexpected wars or is it a preventive measure, or, as they say - in defense.

What it Feels Like
Here is what is feels like - the concept of peace is an illusion created by the victors to protect their victory. If we visualize from that angle, it may explain why nations are easily prompted into action, and the need for proxy wars to keep up appearances. Modernity has not changed the face of war, it has simply been altered to fit the times. The essence of war is still domination, but in a subtle, more hypocritical way.

So, Can the wars End?
In theory it will simply be easier to embrace peace by negotiation as the modern way forward. The reality is simple agreements and concessions may create a sense of vulnerability to the victor. The best way (in their warped minds) to assert this dominance is by a brutal show of force that creates painful, unforgettable memories of fear. But along with fear comes hatred, which begats revenge, so it is a never ending vicious cycle of bloodshed.

I will like to hear your thoughts as I tend to overthink sometimes.

I tend to overthink sometimes.

Haha! I'm also guilty of that!
Having said that, I also think there's much more to wars than just the dispute of nations. These days I think a lot of it is about the control of one nation by another. The conquest for resources is ongoing.

It's not the people that go to war, it's the rulers. They successfully use propaganda to demonise the enemy so that the people then think that the other people are the terrible bad guys. In the world wars the German people didn't choose to go to war, but the "Germans" and the "Japanese" were the evil enemy. How many people had a hatred for the Germans or the Japanese after the war? Could people have accepted the huge amount of innocent deaths that occurred when the nuclear bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki if we didn't believe that everyone of that nationality was terrible? Yet not only was it accepted, it was celebrated as bringing the end to the war.

Banksters are behind the wars since they make money financing both sides of the war. In war a few get rich while the masses pay for the war. In peace the masses make a good living while the few make less profits and may even have to work harder. For the masses peace and prosperity is the only answer. Americans need to watch less sports and drink less beer and get involved in the functioning of their government. The following is what Ben Franklin said to Mrs. Powel after the Constitution Convention of 1787 when she asked Benjamin Franklin the following:

“Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?” With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded, “A republic, if you can keep it.”

So the question "if you can keep it" is what every American should be asking themselves. Can we "keep it" or are we too busy with unimportant things. Those who would enslave us are betting we are too busy to get involved as responsible citizens. The question to ask yourself is "Am I a responsible citizen?" Or, is it I am too busy watching sports, drinking beer, playing video games, having an inordinate amount of fun, or just plain don't give a damn.

If the average American knew how the Federal Reserve is enslaving them I bet they would get involved in a hurry. Maybe they are too lazy to find out why they are working so hard to make little or no progress. WAKE UP AMERICA BEFORE IT IS TOO DAMN LATE!
