Russia is Not the Enemy

I feel the need to re-emphasize this over and over because the mass hysteria at the mere mention of Russia never ends from the mainstream. For years now, we have been egged into a some sort of repeat cold war with Russia, with the media even singing lullabies of an actual war in their regular fits. In hindsight however, if we genuinely were to ask ourselves this questions, I think it will clarify (in my opinion) whether Russia is indeed the Enemy or not.

What Crimes did the Russians Commit?
This is the first question, along with why then does the mainstream and indeed, many western allies despise them so. The answer to that is as blur as the moral Justification for supporting Saudi Arabia in the ongoing war in Yemen.
The Obama Administrations main grouse with Russia (in my opinion) started after the annexation of Crimea, which was originally under Ukraine. What they didn't say however was that it was the people of Crimea who willingly annexed themselves away from Ukraine and willfully joined Russia. Yet, big-bad Russia took the might of the west in their quest for Righteous Justice.

Under president Trump, the issue of Russia as the enemy once again came up, primarily stirred by the media - on allegations of Russian interference in the elections. Now correct me if I am wrong, but those allegations have not been proven till this day; yet the media gets a free pass portraying them as enemy No1. What moral justification does the US even have to flay other countries interfering in their affairs when that is all we do, except a lot of chaos usually follows ours.

It has gotten to the stage of a strange cat-mouse game where allies have also virtually excommunicated Russia, leading to them finding solace in the company of those we consider rivals.

Peace with Russia is a good Thing
If you agree with me that they're not the enemy, then it makes sense to seek peace. A mutual understanding or agreement between both countries could set the tone for further negotiations on issues outside domestic confrontations. If anything, I believe Russia is best primed to ending the war in Syria, as well as putting pressure on China if absolutely necessary. The effects of a peaceful and cordial US-Russia relationship far outweigh the disadvantages.

If only the media will see the effects of these constant attacks on Russia and how it is not only giving the entire World unnecessary headaches, it is also major stumbling block to immediate peace in many areas round the World.

Sort:

Peace is not the objective. Perpetual fear and war is the objective and the MSM is part of this objective.

Am really starting to believe so

Everything makes so much more sense with this realisation. Almost all of those politicians are just puppets reading a script. The sooner people boycott TV and MSM the better. TV is simply choosing from a range of government approved programs. The internet, however, is choosing what you wish from all of the available information out there. Getting rid of the TV is the best thing I ever did. My mind and my home are cleaner and clearer because of it.

What you say is true, Russia is not real enemy.

"A dog returns to its vomit..." pretty much fits mainstream medias portrayal of Russia and fraud. Where they so concerned with Russia, why then let a russian oligarch buy election machines? After that, why buy election machines straight from your "enemy?"

Very telling.

Well said, Russia are hardly innocent, but they are not the red threat they were in the 80's.

Frankly, it's far better to work towards peace with Russia than to maintain the arrogance of the past that will just lead to a new threat of M.A.D.ness.

I don't even know most of what the MSM is reporting these days. I don't watch or read them and haven't for a long time. If something really important is happening I'll hear about it from others, the rest is usually just meaningless.
