We all believe we're special
Like addicts coming out of rehab
We tend approach the World unguarded
Feeling paths are already written
Then the years roll by
Deluded slumber awakened by reality
Then comes the repeated why's
Not different from the rest of humanity
Frustration gradually sets in
An anger we take out on ourselves
The unlucky may cause themselves harm
Others barely rescued in time
Acceptance is the last phase
The fight no longer contested
Realizing we've done ourselves injustice
We readily move on
