Adventures in Yankee land.
Hey y'all! I'm back. Been awhile since I had a chance to write a post. Been working a lot.
Let me tell ya a little about what I've been into.
Got on this job here in Pennsylvania. Never been this far north before. I gotta say, so far, I'm pleasantly surprised. Most the folks here in Western PA have been really nice. I do get a lot of "huh?" From folks though. But I'ma tell ya right now. Next one honks at me as soon as the light turns green, I'ma put it in park, walk back there, and tell em' my whole life story. Lol.
The job I'm working is a new construction ethylene cracker plant. Here's a little video that explains how one works if you're interested.
It's the biggest job in the country right now.
Over 4,000 guys on this job, around 160 crains including the second biggest crane in the world, so I'm told. Working 6 days a week.
I wish I had got a shot of the counterweights on this thing. I would guess there are 20 or more conex boxes filled with wet sand. Absolutely MASSIVE!
Here's a few more shots of my trip so far. Enjoy!
Thanks for checking out this post!
