The world cup started already! The biggest sports event of the year and we decided to bring you a small analysis of the 8 world cup groups and our predictions of how good they´ll do.

Now, we bring you Group D.

ARGENTINA:

The ”Albiceleste” arrives like the runner-up of the world after that dramatic end that was disputed in the 2014 Brazil World Cup, where they fell in front of the Germany selection by difference of a goal.

On this occasion, the Argentine team comes with the small difference of having a technical director quite capable and who has managed to mediate a group that depends entirely on Messi, for this and other reasons, Argentina is obliged to win the world cup.

The Argentinian midfielder knows that it’s the last time that he arrives with the physicist corresponding to his technical quality, and although the base is the same, today Argentina arrives with much more mature players and with a thirst for matchless rematch, a feeling that It accompanies the mission of rewarding a country that has witnessed how they lose important finals against historically hated rivals.

Due to the age of the main players in Argentina, it’s imminent that there is a generational change, including a transition period that will coincide with the probable end of the great Lionel Messi’s career. Great things are expected from this team; however, they will have the last word.

Technical Director: Jorge Sampaoli

Captain: Lionel Messi

ICELAND:

This Nordic selection is a debutante who’s loved by the great majority of soccer fans, after the great performance in the 2016 Eurocup where they reached the quarterfinals and captivated the world with a game style based on the effort of the group, and who David does not want to beat Goliath, let's also remember that in this tournament they were debutants.

Iceland has written great pages in the recent history of the sport of that country, and there is no doubt that only having qualified for the World Cup is already an achievement and what they get from this tournament is already profit.

CROATIA:

For this World Cup the Croatian team arrives with a half field of fear, consisting of Rakitic, Modrić and Kovačić, added to the presence of players with great quality in all its lines, leads us to think that maybe this World Cup could be the occasion in which they manage to make history, however it will be necessary to keep an eye on the performance of Croatia game by game in a group that seems quite complicated for everyone, including for Messi and his Argentina.

Technical Director: Zlatco Dalic

Capitán: Luka Modrić

Figures: Ivan Rakitic, Mario Mandzukic, Luka Modrić.

World Cup participations: 5

World Cup champions: None, but got in 3rd place in France 1998

NIGERIA:

Africans are frequent guests in this tournament recently; however they haven’t been able to consolidate that great breeding ground that has nourished the European leagues for years. Today they have a team that converges between youth and experience and that, probably, can aspire to a worthy role in the world cup. The German coach of this squad has ideas that haven’t been much liked in the African country, but that have taken, in certain games, the best version of this combined, however, we’ll have to wait to see how they perform in a World Cup .

Technical Director: Gemot Rohr

Captain: Vincent Eyeama

Figures: Victor Moses, Mikel Jhon Obi, Ahmed Musa

World Cup participations: 6

World Cup champions: None

Estimated Stage: Group stage.

Well in preparation for the world. The new captain is John Mikel Obi, the former Chelsea player. Vincent Enyema has finally retired from international football, though they were speculations of him coming back He was not included in the 23 man team chosen by Rohr . We have likes of Iwobi, a stunning player from Arsenal, Ndidi, a Leicester player, Ighalo, and Iheanacho. There are lots more young players with promising talents, brought into the team. This is probably Nigerians best football team for a very long time. 99% of players, play in clubs across Europe. Including some big club like Chelsea, Arsenal, Leicester and lots more

I hope I can win some of the sbds, but I lost the first match. tsk tsk
