The blockchain will be used in Russia for fixing copyright

Agreement on the use of modern technology for copyright protection was signed in the framework of the forum PMCF. Parties to the agreement are the electronic portal of "Litres" and IPChain.

Head IPChain noted that this brand new project, which will use the blockchain in the field of intellectual property. Previously it was idea to implement such a project, but they had local character and was not implemented. In IPChain and "Litres" decided to consider this issue across the industry, and to create a certain infrastructure and rules for all players in this market.

Before signing the agreement, the forum participants analyzed different aspects of the possible applications of the blockchain technology in book publishing, films, theatre and other fields.

Many experts agree that the intellectual property has all the necessary qualities and the basis for the use of blockchain technology. It is believed that this blockchain will be able to realize themselves and to show their best qualities along with application in the financial and public sector.

Igor Drozdov, head of "SKOLKOVO", noted that after the implementation of this idea, intermediaries will no longer need to commit the copyright. Buying a book on an electronic resource, people will enter into agreement directly with the author, therefore, will benefit both sides.

It should be noted that the forum brought together more than 30,000 professionals in various areas, including industry of theatre, film, copyright and so on.
