There are myriads of benefits to be gained if the blockchain finds its way into the educational system. From ushering in paperless degrees (that will not be susceptible to threats of loss, fire outbreaks, forgery, etc) and certificates to tracking citations and even protecting intellectual property.

If one's work is plagiarized, it'll be easier to track and take necessary actions.

With the advent of block chain, so many spheres of our lives are/would be taking positive leaps.

Sony (the Japanese 🏯 organization) made moves several months ago to Blockchain for educational purposes. It's a matter of time before other big shots join the race.
