🕑 How Much Time Per Topic?
Hangouts will be at least 30 minutes long, but depending on attendance and projects/topics to be covered may last up to 90 minutes. Given this, we will try to stay with 5-6 core topics and will fit in others where possible.
🏅 What do we Earn for Active Participation?
Those whose posts are chosen and provide a bitshares account will be given 100 beyondbits on the BitShares DEX. Each week we will have a "favorite post" which we will cover first. This post will win an extra 50 Beyondbits. These tokens will be given directly via the Bitshares Wallet so make sure you have one!
If you do not have one make sure to Get One!
Additionally every two weeks a submission will be chosen for a Tokens4Tweets Post in which we reward those with Twitter Accounts for Sharing your content!
⛒ Is Any Topic Off Limits?
Yes. We reserve the right to learn from the newest trickster trolling bitsharestalk.io consistently searching for way to insert chaos into the equation and devise future strategies for negating these. Naturally if these efforts become ham-fisted attempts at shutting down free speech in honest conversations, the audience will hold us accountable.
But with that said....pretty much anything can be covered--even up to and including current events. However, I personally will only be voting up stories that touch the blockchain in some way shape or form and will be asking the community to downvote absolute Rubbish! ;)

I am looking to expand our reach across the Interwebs to grow our user base and spread the word about Bitshares and the awesome power of DPoS chains. This is where YOU come in...
We want YOU to stream the Bitshares hangout LIVE to your own media accounts like DLive, YouTube, Twitch, FaceBook Live... whichever you use, whichever you choose. You can also use Restream.io together with OBS to stream to multiple accounts at the same time. You can use our templates, or create your own.

What are Beyondbits and Whaleshares?
Beyondbits and Whaleshares started as a conversations in the BeyondBitcoin hangout series shortly after the first Mutual Aid Society (MAS) chain, Steem, launched. It began as "community tokens" or "tag coins" for those who never knew to listen in who may wish to listen to the origins in our BeyondBitcoin Podcast Series. Drop in and listen to them sometime!
These tokens give their hodlers the power to summon a whale "share" to posts without having to pay for attention. And they are only given to people who win contests and do other things of value for the community!

Bitshares State of the Network report
BitShares Core version 2.0.180823 has been released. This release is the first release which add's support for Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.

Stealth on BitShares — Development Phase II

@malacandrahyoi Yes, it will be great to hear from you about the BitShares Improvement Proposals (BSIP) you drafted. I suggest to allow 5-10 minutes for Q&A after your 10 minute overview. These features are valuable additions to the platform for the privacy conscious user.

Side note - Did you know that UIA can be used as backing collateral for MPA soon? It's always been possible via the CLI, now it'll be possible via the GUI.

Account creations have been opened to everyone, even if you did not have a Bitshares account that qualified for the sharedrop snapshot on August 1st.
Claim deadline: 15th September 2018
If you miss the sharedrop claim deadline then you'll no longer be able to claim your stake! Make sure to claim your sharedrop before then!

Well, After Sept 15th it will be the normal account creation process. Until then we are in a sharedrop claim period, so new accounts have to be created that way until then...

Only 1 WLS to register after 1st Sept - we should see a large uptake in sharedrop claims from this date onwards!
People should be aware that if they fail to claim their stake before the claim deadline then they don't get their stake.
