A brief introduction of how to withdraw your BTS from Bittrex to a wallet

in #bitshares7 years ago (edited)

Hi, all traders of BitShares,

Today we saw a news that Bittrex is going to delist BTS for trading. The developer has said that maybe it’s a technical problem and will contact with Bittrex. We hope the problem will be tackled soon.

But there might still be some people who are worrying about this issue and wanna know how to withdraw all your bts from bittrex to a bitshares wallet. Actually, BitShares itself is a decentralized exchange so that you can directly trade your bts to others on it. Here is a brief introduction:

1.Download BitShares Wallet

You can download our BitShares Wallet on Google Play (the iOS version is still developed by a volunteer developer Lucas): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bitshares.bitshareswallet&referrer=utm_source%3Dsteem

Then sign up with a username and a password. You must remember the account name and the password and you'll lose all your money if you lose them!!!

2.Transfer the BitShares from Bittrex

(i). Open the Wallet in the Bittrex.

(ii). Click “- BitShares” in the list of your balance.

(iii.) Fill in your account name in the popped window. (Your account name doesn’t include the number after the “#”), and the quantity of BTS you want to withdraw. You don’t need to write the memo. Bittrex will charge you 5BTS as fee. After you have filled in all the info, click “Withdraw” and everything is done.

Tips

Another tip is you need to wait for another 2 minutes for the transaction. If you cannot see the bitshares in your wallet, kill the process of the wallet and relaunch it or wait for longer.
