Todays post is short but goes straight to the point:

An analisis report from various bitcoin economic forensics companies concluded that less than 1% of all bitcoin transactions are related with money laundering. And nearly all those who compose that 1% come from darknet sites(like the ex silkroad) and not from the exchanges themselves.

My question is: ¿when will be the day in which organized governments don´t try to sell us ghosts to further their agenda of imposing a mega control in all areas of economic life, being themselves (along with megacorporations) the largest source of corruption on the planet?

I think it is time for blockchain-based systems to show that they can fight against laundering, terrorism and corruption without government intervention. It´s just a thought. What do you think about it?

Sort:

Its s nice idea. This stat really surprised me as I've been under the impression that Bitcoin and Cryptos are the best way to smuggle money from one place to another without it being checked as there are no regulatory bodies. Maybe the government and blockchains need to partner rather than be against each other

Well, even now, the majority of the general public is unaware that they could be used for that. But as I said before, the biggest sources of corruption in the world are governments and multinational corporations, and they still don´t use crypto. Hmmm, what does that stat tell us about who does the great majority of the money laundering?
