What is Snapparazzi?

Snaparazzi wants to allow anyone with interesting footage to sell their interesting footage to the media in exchange for Snapcoins. Snaparazzi is currently preparing for their ICO and they have already raised $5 million in private funding. Their ICO open to the public will begin in the first few weeks of October and 70% of the token supply will be sold during the ICO. Snaparazzi’s motto is that there are $2.3 billion smartphones in the world, so there will never be enough camera men to compete with the amount of smartphone footage that has been captured.

From their website: “Snapparazzi is a decentralised independent media sharing & advertising platform, utilising blockchain technology and offering everyone SnapCoin rewards.”

Every time that you sell your media footage you will receive a share of the advertising revenue and sales revenue. Snaparazzi wants to allow anyone to become a content creator, get rewarded for their viewing time or attention, or become a moderator to promote the best content for the project. Snaparazzi is willing to pay content creators 80% of sales earnings and 60% of the advertising revenue for every high quality video created. The Snapparazzi team looks like they are hoping their coin becomes a source of high quality and interesting news with Snapcoin news, for example.

This coin has a long way to go to become a regular source of news for the average person that consumes news via T.V. or their favorite website. However, I like the idea that they have behind their company which is that your ordinary day may be far from ordinary to someone else and that we all have interesting or unexpected events that happen in our lives. Either way, I think Snaparazzi has a long way to go, but it will be interesting to see their final product which should be available to download on the app store sometime this December.
