[0232] Why Lympo is My Top Crypto for 2018
#Fitbit rival and sports crypto, #Lympo launched their online store today. The shop is pretty cool as you can pay with FIAT or Lympo tokens.
Unsurprisingly, the Lympo store is chock full of #Nike gear which tells you a lot about the future direction of the company. And their aim to partner their "fitness rewards blockchain" with Nike, Adidas and the rest of the top sports brands.
Which would be massive for the HODLers of Lympo.
I've been a fan of Lympo since day 1 as I could see the cult-like potential of a sports wearable that rewards you for exercising. Which is why I picked it as my top coin for 2018.
The partnerships with tennis player, Caroline Wozniacki and US basketball team, the Dallas Mavericks, the Lympo app and now the new store are pretty bold strides into the consumer market. While other projects are still a promise on a white paper, Lympo has "hit the ground running".
The new store tells the direction for where the company is going and where they are at in their development. The new store adds to the mobile app, which was deployed a month or two ago so development is moving at quite a brisk pace.
While Bitcoin maximalists will rant and hyper-ventilate that "Bitcoin is the only real blockchain", the truth is that there are some solid "micro economies" forming in the crypto space. Lympo has traction and I predict will be a company that survives when 95% of startups fail.
Lympo eventually plans to launch their own sports wearable but may not need to as they own the tech that Nike, etc have yet to develop. Lympo may become the "go to" blockchain-fitness company that major brands seek out as they become the new standard for health rewards.
But fitness freaks aren't the only ones who will find Lympo attractive. Eventually, health insurance companies will want API's of their own and hook into all that juicy data. Which should ultimately bring premiums down for consumers as they are able to offer accurate and relevant health policies.
Anyhoo, I just wanted to let you know about the Lympo update and that it's perhaps a good ( perhaps, last ) chance to get some coins of your own. Currently at 2.4c AUD, one of these days, the price will rise and it won't go back.
